Welcome to my stamp and die-cut unboxing series! I’m so excited to share these amazing tools with you from my earlier unboxing post. In each post for this series, I will highlight one of the five stamp and die cut sets or the mini alphabet die cuts. In this series, you will find examples of how to use these different sets. I will include the products I used as well as tutorials and tips.
Today, we’re diving into the Stampin Up Sentimental Wishes bundle and the Sentimental Christmas 12×12 Designer Series Paper.
The Sentimental Wishes Bundle includes the Sentimental Wishes Stamp Set and the Sentimental Wishes Dies. Give your holiday crafting projects a vintage flavor with the stamps and dies in this bundle. They’re designed to work together for easy coordination. The traditional images and sentiments in a vintage-mood font add instant nostalgia to your Christmas cards and gift tags. The candles, wreaths, holly and berries, and bow are designed to be colored so you can create what you want in the colors you want.
The detailed dies in the Sentimental Wishes Dies cut out a Christmas stocking, holly, a candle centerpiece, and greenery. There’s also a bow that you can add to any of the other die cuts. The vintage designs will bring the nostalgia to your holiday crafting.
The Sentimental Christmas 12″ x 12″ Designer Series Paper is festive patterned paper filled with traditional holiday images: holly and berries, candles, snowflakes, candy canes, Christmas trees, and more. Fussy cut individual elements for quick accents. Or cut the lantern and candy cane paper into six pieces to make quick card fronts. The stocking and bow die cuts matches up perfectly with the stocking and bow in this series. This paper was hand-drawn in colored pencils for original designs you won’t find anywhere else.
For today’s post, I am going to share five cards with you highlighting the stamp images and either fussy cutting or die cutting images from the designer series paper.
Card One: Stamped Stocking
I used the Freshly Made Sketch #157 for this card. After stamping the stocking on white cardstock, I colored it using Stampin Blend markers. I embossed the background with the Stampin Up Snowflake Sky embossing folder. I used some of the Echo Park Christmas Time paper pad. Then I embossed the sentiment on Stampin Up Evening Evergreen card stock.

Card Two: Stamped Candle
For this card, I used a different card sketch. I stamped the candles twice and colors them. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Honey Bee Stamps Snowflake embossing folder. I mounted that on some Echo Park Christmas Time patterned paper. Using a sentiment from the Stampin Up Christmas Friends stamp set, I embossed that in white on a piece of red cardstock. Piecing everything together created a simple, yet festive Christmas card.

Card Three: Stamped Holly
Using the card sketch, Global Design Project #198, I created a Christmas card using the holly stamp from this bundle. After stamping the holly twice and coloring it, I die cut it. For the sentiment I stamped “Christmas” from the Honey Bee Stamps Christmas Buzzword stamp in red and then stamped “Merry”, from that same set in black. I embossed white cardstock with the Honey bee Stamps Snowflake embossing folder. I mounted that on red and green and also mounted the sentiment. Then I pieced everything together creating another simple, yet festive Christmas card.

Card Four: Designer Series Paper Stocking
Cas(e) This Sketch #34 provided the inspiration for this fourth Christmas card. Using the stocking and the bow die cut, I cut out the stocking and bow from a sheet of the Designer Series Paper. The stocking and bow are already beautifully colored, so I did not have to do that. There are several stockings and bows on the sheet allowing me to cut several out to make quick embellishments.

A card sketch from October 2021 Cardmaps was the inspiration for this final card. I used more of the Designer Series Paper for the background on this card. I also embossed a piece of white cardstock with the Stampin Up Snowflake Sky embossing folder. I fussy cut some candles from a sheet of the Designer Series Paper.
