Welcome to my stamp and die-cut unboxing series! I’m so excited to share these amazing tools with you from my early unboxing post. In each post for this series, I will highlight one of the five stamp and die cut sets or the mini alphabet die cuts. In this series, you will find examples of how to use these different sets. I will include the products I used as well as tutorials and tips.
Today, we’re diving into one of latest online exclusives from Stampin’ Up called ‘Pretty Petals.’ This stamp set also has coordinating die cuts that you can get separately or as part of a bundle.
How do you like your flowers? One delicate bunch? Or an entire blooming garden? With the Pretty Petals Stamp Set, you can create what you want! Make a mixed bouquet by stamping the greenery in one color and large and small flowers in multiple colors. Or stamp images repeatedly to create a card background blooming with color.
This is a Two-Step Stampin’ set; it allows you to layer two or more images to create one final image with extra texture and dimension in the colors you want.
This is a distinctive stamp set; it has a special texture that gives added depth and dimension in a single step, creating photo-realistic images.
The Pretty Petals Dies cut out one large floral grouping. The smaller dies cut out individual greenery pieces and flower petals. Combine them to create a single flower, a small bouquet, or an entire floralscape.
The stamps are made from high-quality photopolymer and are clear making image placement easy, cling to clear blocks without slipping, are repositionable—temporarily mount on clear blocks to stamp, then remove to store, and saves space—one set of blocks works for all your cling and photopolymer stamps.
I’ve created two cards using this stamp and die cut set.
Card One: Thinking of You
For this card, I used MojoMonday Sketch #557 as the inspiration for the card. One of my favorite color combinations is pink and gray. After stamping the stems and flowers, I stamped another set of flowers that I cut out and popped up with dimensionals to add dimension.
Supplies used: Stampin Up Pretty Petals Bundle, Moda Scrap Secret Garden 6×6 paper, Stampin Up Petal Pink ink, Stampin Up Basic Gray ink, Stampin Up Petal Pink cardstock, Stampin Up Basic Gray cardstock, Hero Arts Many Everyday Messages, Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, and Stampin Up Mini Dimensionals
Card Two: Happy Birthday
For my second card, I used dabbers to add different colors to my flower stamp. After I stamped the stems and positioned the flower stamp on my stamp platform, I used a dabber to add a color to the lager flowers and then another dabber to add a second color to the smaller flowers.
After I stamped the flowers I added ink splatters, a sentiment banner that I embossed in white, and clear gems to finish off the card.
Supplies used: Stampin Up Pretty Petals Bundle, Stampin Up Berry Burst ink, Stampin Up Blackberry Bliss ink, Stampin Up Garden Green ink, Stampin Up Blackberry Bliss cardstock, Stampin Up Garden Green cardstock, Dabbers, Stampin Up Country Birdhouse stamp set, Lawn Fawn White Embossing Powder, Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners, Anna Griffith Empress, Heat Tool, VersaMark, Honey Bee Stamps Clear Gem Stickers, Big Shot, and Tim Holtz Stamp Platform
This set is a must-have for anyone who loves floral designs. It’s versatile, easy to use, and great value for money. I loved the look of the stamped image and it was easy to use.
