Welcome to my stamp and die-cut unboxing series! I’m so excited to share these amazing tools with you from my earlier unboxing post. In each post for this series, I will highlight one of the five stamp and die cut sets or the mini alphabet die cuts. In this series, you will find examples of how to use these different sets. I will include the products I used as well as tutorials and tips.
Today, we’re diving into the Filled with Cheer stamp set. Send loads of cheer this year with handmade holiday cards. Start with a wagon and fill it with seasonal cheer: a snowman, Christmas tree, and sled. Or load it with presents and poinsettias. You can also skip the wagon and use these pieces on their own. Finish your cards with a string of colorful Christmas lights and a sentiment. These images are designed for coloring, so grab your favorite coloring tools and go. You can also use some of the Filled with Fun dies with this stamp set or you can fussy cut the images.
I am going to share with you two different card sketches and how to use them with or without the wagon for each of the stamped images.
Sketch One: Happy Holidays
For each of the two cards, I embossed each panel on white cardstock and mounted each on red cardstock. I stamped each of the images, snowman with the sled and Christmas tree, and the poinsettias and gifts, colored them, and then fussy cut each one. I added Wink of Stella to the snowman to give him some extra sparkle as well as to the string of colored lights. I used the banner die from the Filled with Fun dies to cut out the string of lights.
Supplies used: Stampin Up Filled with Cheer stamp set, Stampin Up Filled with Fun dies, Stampin Up Real Red cardstock, Stampin Blends Real Red, Stampin Blends Shaded Spruce, Stampin Blends Basic Black, Stampin Blends Crumb Cake, Stampin Up Christmas Friends stamp set, Stampin Up Snowflake Sky embossing folder, Wink of Stella – Clear, Wink of Stella – Gold, Lawn Fawn Everyday Sentiment Banners, Lawn Fawn white embossing powder, VersaMark, Memento Tuxedo ink pad, Honey Bee Stamps Snowflake embossing folder, Heat Tool, Sizzix Big Shot, Tim Holtz Stamp Platform, and Anna Griffin Empress.
Sketch Two: Merry Christmas
I am really into embossing the background of my Christmas cards. I love the Stampin Up Snowflake Sky and the Honey bee Stamps Snowflake embossing folders and I try and use them as often as I can. I double matted each of the embossed panels. I stamped each of the images, snowman with the sled and Christmas tree, and the poinsettias and gifts, colored them with non-traditional Christmas colors, and then fussy cut each one. I added Wink of Stella to the snowman to give him some extra sparkle as well as to the string of colored lights. I used the wagon and banner die cuts from the Filled with Fun die set to create the wagon and string of lights for these cards.
